14th April is the Bengali New Year which is a huge celebration for us Bengali’s. The day is known as ” Pohela Boishakh” and I want to wish you all ” Shubho Noboborsho” (Happy New Year)!

It is the most colorful festive day in Bangladesh, celebrated with our very special food, art, music and many more. In abroad, though we miss those charms and perks but still we love to celebrate the day with our best effort. Stockholm does not have the weather where we can enjoy wearing saree and gorgeous heals while using public transport but still we manage everything because it is just one special day of the year.

Traditionally Red and white is the symbol of the day that we prefer wearing but these days it has become a trend to be more colorful which is nice. I still prefer wearing something either white or red or blended. There are many options to decorate yourself for this day. I showed you a tutorial in my previous post but now on this day I did a little different styling. We met some of our friends and had pure Bengali food that includes different types of bhorta, panta, polau, veg, beef and chicken bhuna, duck bhuna, Fish fry , desserts. The day completed with a lot of photo shoot.
