If you are someone who is working with photography, videography or if you are a content creator of YouTube channel then you know how important it is to play with the lighting system.

Mostly it is the magic of light that changes your work from day to night or vice versa. It is not that you should resist yourself from creating a content just because you cannot afford a good lighting system but it is important to fix the lighting in long run.

It is not mandatory to buy all the equipments at the first point. All we can do is to start making the videos during the day in daylight. Day light is the best light one can have which is all natural. But the problem is day light keep changing every hour. Sometime the sun is harsh and some days it is really gloomy. If you are living in Nordic countries it is very hard during winter to manage daylight. It is also true that you may need to create a content at nighttime for any reason.

Another problem is that if you have made one corner of your home a studio , you may not have a good window there for light falling in right amount on your face. So even though day light is the best light but it is not always available in the right way that we need. So all that we need is to have a ring light or beauty light, specially if the content is beauty related.

After you buy a ring light you will notice huge difference in your videos and will find it much comfortable to work but again you will realize that you need something to soften that light. For that you can buy some filter, umbrella , soft boxes or you can make something DIY light softener and make the harsh light much more soft , soothing. Anyways I struggled a lot for about a year due to not having an appropriate lighting system. I wish I had bought it earlier but it is never too late.
