Pohela Boisakh (Part 3: Potluck Lunch)

I have been spending much busy time these days with studies and work so got late to share my Boisakhi fun. Bengali New Year came with all it’s beauty this year and gave me chances to have a lot of fun in Stockholm even staying away from home land. We were 12 people gathering together with different special items and we had lunch together!

The preparation is always more fun and we enjoyed late night waking ups , meetings and planned a lot. Finally things went well accordingly! 🙂

My husband enjoyed smashing potatos and he was very excited! sitting in the floor with bulk of potatos he made his dish 🙂 See how happy he was………….

We had all kind of smashed items like potato, tomato, fish, egg, lentil  and so on……

We had sweets as well. One of my friend made Roshmalai which was very special.

Prawn with onions were very good to taste and we had salmon fry in a Bengali way to bring the desi flavour. Bengali way means we fried it with turmeric and red chilli powder.

After lunch we went out for a walk by the lake side and then to a coffee shop. It was amazing to have coffee together in a group.

All girls in red and our husbands in panjabi made the ultimate festive environment for us !

The long planning came to success and we had fun more than expected 🙂

Thank you everyone who joined us 🙂

Love!
